A LinkedIn URL is the direct web address of your LinkedIn profile. Adding it to your resume has become standard practice because recruiters use LinkedIn to verify your background, see recommendations, and learn more about you beyond what fits on a one-page resume.

Before adding it to your resume, customize your LinkedIn URL so it's clean and memorable: by default, LinkedIn gives you a URL like linkedin.com/in/jane-smith-12a34b5, but you can change this to linkedin.com/in/janesmith for free in your settings. Make sure your LinkedIn profile is up to date and consistent with your resume before listing it.
