Portfolio

A collection of your work samples. Common for designers, developers, and writers.

A portfolio is a curated collection of work samples that demonstrates your skills and experience in practice. Designers show visual work, developers show code projects, writers show published pieces, and marketers show campaigns or case studies. A portfolio supplements a resume — it doesn't replace it.

In some fields (graphic design, UX design, front-end development, writing, photography), a portfolio is as important as the resume. In others (accounting, medicine, law, sales), portfolios aren't a thing. If a portfolio applies to your field, host it on a simple personal website or platform (Dribbble, Behance, GitHub) and include a link in your resume header.

Example: A UX designer's portfolio might include 3 to 5 case studies, each showing the problem, process, and outcome of a real project.
